Umphrey’s McGee Details Halloween Show in DC

By Stu Kelly / June 25, 2019

Umphrey’s McGee will return to The Anthem in Washington, D.C. to celebrate Halloween, their first time performing on the holiday at this venue. One notable change is the band is doing away with their famed “mash ups” this year and promise to have  a”festive surprise” in store for their Halloween show. Following the night of fun in D.C., the band will head up to the Fillmore in Philadelphia to perform two additional shows on November 1 and 2.

The band has also tapped Star Kitchen as an opener all weekend long. Star Kitchen is a relatively new band comprised of  bassist Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits), guitarist Danny Mayer (Eric Krasno Band), Rob Marscher (Addison Groove Project), and drummer Marlon Lewis (Lauryn Hill, John Legend).

umVIP is offering enhanced experience tickets in both cities. Fans who opt in for umVIP will have the opportunity to join the band at The Anthem in a private elevated viewing lounge adjacent to front of house for prime sight lines. In Philly, umVIP fans will have the opportunity to attend a private show on Saturday, November 2, and settle into a choice umVIP viewing perch on the second floor. Both programs are separately ticketed and include early entry, a poster signed by the band, exclusive umVIP merch, and mp3 downloads of the shows.

Pre-sale tickets and umVIP packages will go on sale Wednesday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. EST with a public on sale Friday, June 28 starting at 10:00 a.m. EST.
