Concert Review By Stu Kelly / April 8, 2017 Hayley Jane and The Primates made their debut in Washington, D.C. on their first-ever tour below the Mason-Dixon line. The band performed at Gypsy Sally’s in Georgetown and served up their signature rock and roll mixed with elements of funk and blues. Hayley Jane fully embraces center stage and her background in theater fuels her animation and theatrics on stage. Jane’s vocal range is rich and versatile which left the audience enthralled. The rhythm section is anchored by Ryan Clausen on drums and Josh Carter on bass. Justin Hancock and Greg Smith trade responsibilities on guitar while Hayley Jane fronts the band and dabbles on an electric washboard.
