Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Announces New Live Album, ‘Live at The Capitol Theatre’

Psychedelic funk-jam powerhouse Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is set to release their highly anticipated live album, Live at The Capitol Theatre, capturing the magic of their sold-out performance at the historic Port Chester, NY venue on February 3, 2024. The album will be available on limited edition vinyl in partnership with Relix and is now up for pre-order, along with a digital release that features the 17-minute single, “Couldn’t We All,” streaming on all platforms.

For longtime fans of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, the band’s electrifying live shows are the heart of their appeal. This album is another testament to their boundless energy, improvisational prowess, and deep connection with their audience. Adding to the night’s magic, the band was joined on stage by acclaimed guitarist and Berklee professor Tomo Fujita, who lent his virtuosic touch to “Indiglo,” “F.U.,” “Overtime,” and “Zydeko.” Ormont reflected on the experience, calling it “a celebration of love, gratitude, and the power of music to connect us all.”

The album, which will be released as a four-record vinyl set to accommodate the band’s expansive setlist and exploratory jams, is expected to be a must-have for fans and collectors alike.
