Jeff Arevalo To Step Away From Current Touring

In a shocking announcement earlier today, Jeff Arevalo announced he was stepping away from current touring to focus on his mental health and personal issues. The news comes on the heels of Goose announcing their fourth studio album, Everything Must Go, just a week before Jeff’s departure.  

Jeff joined Goose as a permanent member in 2020, where he contributed with percussion, drums, vocals, and eventually guitar. He was also a member of the acoustic trio Orebelo, which features Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach of Goose, where he played upright bass and provided backing vocals. Orebelo, which got his name after a play-on-words with Jeff’s last name, Arevalo, performed their first show together on January 23, 2020, at The Bell House in Brooklyn. This show was a special “Evening with Osiris” interview hosted by RJ Bee and Tom Marshall with Rick and Peter. The whole set featured Jeff on upright bass and was the first recorded performance of what would soon be known as Orebolo.

“Everyone’s well-being is the most important thing right now. We are grateful for the community’s understanding as Jeff takes time for himself. We appreciate the support and ask that you respect his privacy,” said Rick, Trevor, Peter, and Cotter in a joint statement.
