In a spectacular fusion of rock and classical music, renowned guitarist Trey Anastasio will again collaborate with the esteemed National Symphony Orchestra for a one-night engagement at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts on June 25th. This extraordinary event promises an unforgettable evening of musical brilliance at the picturesque venue in Vienna, VA.

Anastasio, best known as the lead guitarist and vocalist for the iconic band Phish, will join forces with the National Symphony Orchestra, an American institution based in Washington, D.C. Founded nearly a century ago by cellist Hans Kindler, the orchestra has earned acclaim for its exceptional performances and contributions to the classical music landscape.

This upcoming performance marks a significant reunion between Anastasio and the National Symphony Orchestra, following their previous collaboration in 2013 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. However, the guitarist’s affinity for orchestral collaborations traces back over two decades. Notably, Anastasio worked with Troy Peters and the Vermont Youth Orchestra on an arrangement of “Guyute” in 2000. His ventures into orchestral territory continued as he conducted the Nashville Chamber Orchestra at Bonnaroo 2004, captivating an audience of over 80,000 attendees.

In 2009, Anastasio expanded his orchestral repertoire by performing with the esteemed New York Philharmonic and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. This rich history culminated in runs of symphony shows with various orchestras in 2012, 2014, and 2017, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to pushing musical boundaries and exploring new artistic horizons.

Fans eagerly anticipating this unique collaboration will have the opportunity to secure tickets through a presale beginning Tuesday, March 26th, at 10 a.m. ET, using the code “HarryHood.” Tickets will become available to the general public on Friday, March 29th, at 10 a.m. ET.

As music enthusiasts eagerly anticipate this fusion of rock and classical music, Trey Anastasio’s upcoming performance with the National Symphony Orchestra promises to be a transcendent experience, showcasing the boundless creativity and artistic vision of one of modern music’s most innovative talents.
