News
Tour Announcements
By Stu Kelly / August 3, 2017
The Districts are gearing up for an exciting milestone in their already lustrous career. In August the Philadelphia quartet will release their new studio album, Popular Manipulations, on August 11, via Fat Possum Records and embark on an extensive tour to support the new release, including a few shows with My Morning Jacket. The band has already released a few tracks teasing the new release, including “Ordinary Day,” “If Before I Wake,” “Violet” and most recently “Salt.”

Currently, the band is in Chicago where they’ll kick off their tour tonight at the Vic Theater before migrating to Lollapalooza. Their new tour will take them through the Midwest, up and down the East Coast, and eventually over to Europe with an abundance of dates sprinkled across the United Kingdom and through Western Europe. The band will make appearances at the Reading Festival and the Leeds Festival among other notable stops along the way. Eventually the band will come full circle with a hometown show in Philly at the Tower Theatre in October.
