News Tour Announcements By Amanda Lester / August 18, 2017 Dark Star Orchestra has recently extended their Fall 2017 Tour, and announced that they will be ringing in the New Year with a Cosmic New Year’s Run. The Fall Tour Part 2 adds 15 dates along the East Coast, starting at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ and rounds out the year at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA. The Grateful Dead tribute act, currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, will begin their fall tour in Dallas, Texas with a three-night run at the House of Blues. Notable tour stops include three nights at the Boulder Theater in September, an anniversary show on November 11 at Albany’s Palace Theater and the band’s Jam in the Sand IV which brings fans down to Jamaica for four nights of tropical bliss. DSO will also stop by Washington D.C.’s brand new venue, The Anthem, on December 2 , where they will recreate the Grateful Dead’s June 14, 1991 show at R.F.K Stadium. DSO just came back from the Peach Music Festival in Scranton, PA, where they performed on August 11. The band played on the festival’s Main Stage with an almost non-stop set starting with a jam going into “The Other One,” then fan favorite “Not Fade Away” into “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad,” which had people on their feet. The band rounded out their set with a cover of Cannon’s Jug Stompers “Viola Lee Blues.” Dark Star Orchestra Fall Tour Dates September 23 – Dallas, TX – House of Blues Dallas September 26 – Salina, KS – Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts September 28 – Boulder, CO – Boulder Theater September 29 – Boulder, CO – Boulder Theater September 30 – Boulder, CO – Boulder Theater October 2 – Omaha, NE – Slowdown October 5 – Cleveland, OH – House of Blues Cleveland October 6 – Cincinnati, OH – Taft Theatre October 7 – Columbus, OH – Express LIVE October 10 – Grand Rapids, MI – The Intersection October 12 – Detroit, MI – The Majestic October 13 – Chicago, IL – The Vic Theatre October 14 – Milwaukee, WI – Pabst / Riverside / Turner Hall Dark Star Orchestra New Tour Dates November 10 – Montclair, NJ – Wellmont Theater November 11 – Albany, NY – Palace Theater November 12 – Peekskill, NY – Paramount Hudson Valley November 14 – Northampton, MA – Calvin Theatre November 16 – Portland, ME – State Theatre, Portland, Maine November 17 – New Haven, CT – College Street Music Hall November 18 – Worcester, MA – Worcester Palladium November 19 – Ithaca, NY – State Theatre of Ithaca November 21 – Concord, NH – Capitol Center for the Arts November 22 – Jim Thorpe, PA – Penn’s Peak November 24 – Huntington, NY – The Paramount November 25 – Huntington, NY – The Paramount November 29 – Richmond, VA – The National November 30 – Richmond, VA – The National December 1 – Norfolk, VA – The NorVA December 2 – Washington D.C. – The Anthem December 28 – Montclair, NJ – Wellmont Theater December 29 – Philadelphia, PA – Electric Factory December 30 – Philadelphia, PA – Electric Factory December 31 – Philadelphia, PA – Electric Factory Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window) Related
