Lil Wayne Plots 2023 Tour and Teases ‘Tha Carter VI’

Multi-platinum hip-hop icon and five-time Grammy award-winning artist Lil Wayne has revealed a spring tour that will kick off later this year. The Hollygrove native has dubbed the new dates the “Welcome To Tha Carter Tour” which is presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud, and Live Nation. The tour comprises of 28 dates across the United States and Canada, beginning April 4 in Minneapolis and wrapping up May 13 in Los Angeles. 

In addition to the tour, there’s some new merch on Weezy’s website that leaks the upcoming release of The Carter VI and the return of Weezyana Fest 6, at the outdoor festival plaza Champion’s Square, in New Orleans. On Sunday, Lil Wayne will receive a Global Impact Award at the 2023 Grammys celebrating his “personal and professional achievements in the music industry,” along with Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, and Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone. Tickets for his 2023 tour will go on sale via Lil Wayne’s website on February 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
