Oasis Announces Reunion Tour After 15-Year Split

In what fans worldwide call the most anticipated music reunion of the decade, Oasis has officially announced their return to the stage after a 15-year hiatus. The news, confirmed early Tuesday morning, has electrified the music community, marking the end of a bitter feud between the Gallagher brothers that led to the band’s split in 2009.

“This is it, this is happening,” declared a post across the band’s official social media accounts, sparking a frenzy of excitement among their devoted fanbase.

The legendary Britpop band, known for anthems like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” will embark on a 14-show tour across the U.K. and Ireland next year. The tour will include four highly anticipated dates in their hometown of Manchester and four at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” read a statement released by the band. The enigmatic message also hinted at future dates beyond Europe, suggesting that a North American leg could be on the horizon.

The news followed days of cryptic teasers from both Noel and Liam Gallagher. On Monday, the brothers posted a short video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring the date “27.08.24” displayed in the band’s iconic logo font. The day before, Liam had stirred speculation with a post that read, “I never did like that word FORMER.”

The announcement has ended years of speculation and hopes from Oasis fans who had long dreamed of a reunion. Since their split, both Noel and Liam pursued successful solo careers but remained locked in a public and often acrimonious feud.

Oasis, formed in 1991, rose to fame as one of the defining bands of the 1990s, selling an estimated 75 million records worldwide and performing in sold-out stadiums across the globe. Their return is poised to be one of the most significant events in recent music history, reigniting the legacy of a band that defined a generation.

UK tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 31, at 9 a.m. local time. Dublin tickets will be released that same day at 8 a.m. local time. Additional dates are expected to be announced on other continents as well. 

As fans prepare for what promises to be a monumental tour, one thing is clear: Oasis is back, and the world is ready to listen.
