Renowned guitarist Warren Haynes, a self-described “Gibson man,” has officially announced his custom Gibson Les Paul. Known for his virtuosic playing across Gov’t Mule, The Allman Brothers Band, The Warren Haynes Band, and The Dead, Haynes has long favored Gibson guitars. Now, fans and fellow musicians alike can wield an instrument designed to his exact specifications.

The new Warren Haynes Les Paul features a mahogany body with a plain maple cap finished in a classic ’60s Cherry. The guitar’s mahogany neck is shaped with a chunky ’50s Vintage profile, replicating the feel of Haynes’ favorite Les Pauls. In terms of electronics, this signature model boasts a pair of P-90 DC pickups, offering hum-free performance while preserving the rich, dynamic tones of traditional P-90s.

A standout feature of the guitar is its built-in 15 dB boost, which can be activated via a mini toggle switch. This allows players to elevate their sound with extra gain and sustain instantly. The guitar also features a quick-access battery compartment mounted into the control cover on the rear. Significantly, should the battery die mid-performance, the instrument remains fully functional—simply flipping the mini toggle switch to the off position returns the pickups to standard operation.
