News By Stu Kelly / January 24, 2023 Dave Matthews Band unveiled details about their upcoming studio album titled Walk Around the Moon, their 10th studio album, which is set to drop May 19 via RCA Records. The new record spans 12 original tracks which were formed during the pandemic and “is as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground,” according to a statement from the band. Walk Around the Moon is the first studio album from DMB since 2018’s Come Tomorrow. Most of the songs were performed live in 2021 and 2022, but a handful of tracks have yet to be performed live, including “Looking For A Vein,” “It Could Happen,” “After Everything,” “All You Wanted Was Tomorrow,” “The Only Thing” and “Monsters.” In addition to the new record, DMB will also embark on a 2023 summer tour in support of the new album. The band also released the first single from the upcoming record, “Madman’s Eye’s,” which DMB performed live at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, in November 2021. Formed in Charlottesville, Va., in 1991, DMB has more than 25 million career ticket sales and upwards of 38 million combined CD and DVD sales, according to industry representatives. Despite winning the fan vote by a wide margin in 2020, DMB has yet to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nonetheless, they’ve cultivated a die-hard international fanbase over their years of touring relentlessly and releasing new music. A limited-edition deluxe vinyl option is available exclusively at the official DMB website. Tickets for the 2023 summer tour will be available to the general public beginning Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. local time.
