Wendy & Lisa Launch Special Airbnb Experience in Celebration of Purple Rain’s 40th Anniversary

This exclusive Airbnb listing promises to immerse guests in The Kid’s world. Between October 26 and December 14, 25 one-night stays will be available. Each overnight experience will welcome up to four guests and is priced at $7 per person, a nod to Prince’s favorite number.

Wendy and Lisa, lifelong friends and collaborators of Prince, invite guests to pay homage to his legendary career in a uniquely curated space filled with personal memorabilia, rare music, and behind-the-scenes insights into Purple Rain. For the first time, fans will have unprecedented access to The Kid’s art, music, and fashion in a fully immersive environment.

Guests staying at the Purple Rain house will be surrounded by carefully chosen decor, music, and memorabilia that pay homage to The Kid. The downstairs area features purple velvet wallpaper and a vintage 1980s stereo preloaded with songs that inspired the character, while QR codes scattered throughout the house offer Wendy and Lisa’s personal commentary on various elements.

The experience doesn’t stop there. Guests can unwind in a spa designed as a tribute to the iconic “When Doves Cry” music video. The spa features a luxurious claw-foot tub, stained-glass windows, and a range of Prince-themed bath accessories, including lavender bath bombs and plush purple robes.

Prince’s legendary outfits are also on display, allowing visitors to see his style up close. While the original pieces are safely tucked behind glass, guests are invited to try on ’80s-inspired outfits that capture the rockstar essence of the era.

For those looking to channel their inner musician, the Muse Lounge offers a full setup to play instruments and sing along with pre-recorded tracks, including the unforgettable chorus of “Purple Rain,” with Prince’s vocals accompanying the performance.

For those who love hidden treasures, the house holds a secret room—accessible only through a hidden door. Fans will find a faux vinyl album containing seven clues, offering rewards to those who solve them.

The centerpiece of the stay is The Kid’s bedroom, designed to replicate his living space in the film. Guests will have access to his tape collection, including a never-before-heard demo recording of one of Prince’s early tracks.

Prince’s fans can request to book one of the exclusive 25 stays starting on October 2 at 6:00 AM PT through October 6 at 11:59 PM PT on Airbnb. Visitors will be responsible for their travel to and from Minneapolis.
